I have been searching for an accurate set of kitchen scales that will weigh down to 1 gram, price not really a problem, for quite some time. Not as easy as you would think. I bought and returned several items until I hit on these. After am initial problem with one of the feet, which seemed to cure itself, they have been the best I have tried and so far haven't let me down or started to give false readings like some other Digital scales. I've had other models from the same manufacturer and others , costing more, which were totally unreliable. All I can say is, at last, these work for me.

I followed the instructions for inserting the batteries, but the digital numbers did not settle on zero whatever I tried (the display kept on flashing different figures) and so I could not use the scales. After much wasting of time removing batteries and trying again with no success, I called Amazon and arranged to return the scales. I ordered a completely different Salter Digital Scale, which does work satisfactorily.
(The control buttons were very hard to make function - they are touch activated and under the glass top of scales.)

Easy one touch operating button (on/off/zero) that seems to work ok. Product measures 23 X 17 cm (approx). Gram/lbs button underneath.
Sadly, it does not measure liquids hence only 4 stars.
No instruction leaflet in my box (not really necessary) but have emailed Salter to check. Glass top seems to give a green tinge to scale in ordinary light but not under bright lights.
Large size is good for weighing letters!
