 Great scales - consistent readings for weight July 25, 2007

I've just bought a set of these scales. I was a bit concerned as the other guy said they gave inconsistent readings.
I've tried standing on two feet, on one foot (on both side of the scale) and got exactly the same reading each time. I can't verify that the reading is accurate (although it's the same as our old scales), but it's certainly precise. I can only imagine the other guy who's written a review here had a dodgy set.
I'm not so convinced the fat reading is correct as my girfriend had hers checked properly at the doctors recently, and the next day tested these scales. There was a 10% difference.

1. This was supposed to have some sort of chart to help you interpret the various figures - this was missing.
2. When compared to the spot-on person-weigher in the reception area of a local Trading Standards (Weights & Measures) office, it was found to be reading about a stone light.
The design is very poor. It only weighs on one side, so there can be massive error as you stand on different parts of the scale (anything up to 2 stone variation).
My advice: buy a different one.
