Brilliant August 28, 2010 Jane Doe I had previously borrowed exactly the same Balanzza Luggage / Suitcase Weigh Scale from friends (having prior to that borrowed different scales from other friends). I found the Balanzza scales so brilliant that i have invested in them myself and am so glad that i did. Forget about the need for instructions. I can be technically challenged, but these scales are so easy to use. So, now my other friends want to borrow my new Balanzza Scales.
Stopped DHL July 3, 2010 Mr. D. Harte (London) Excellent product needed to send 5 bags by DHL limited to 100kgs weighed all bags using this product no bag was more than 20kgs each.DHL have come back trying to say I was over by a 154kgs,
no way, told them I used this product and they seem to have pulled their horns in.
Used also to weigh a friends case for a flight and was bang on with the scales at the airport check in, a great buy cuts out all the worry of getting to the airport and being told or charged for being a kilo or two out.
Highly recommend.
Impossible for real luggage April 5, 2010 Ahmed Ali (UAE) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this scale because I thought so many people writing good reviews must outweigh the bad. I was wrong. These scales are useless for heavy luggage, and by 'heavy' I mean 20-30kg, the max weight offered by many airlines. As already pointed out, the problem is that you have to lift up the item for several seconds, NO movement, which includes swinging 'just a little' on the hook. The scales will then lock. I am a big guy, picking up a 23kg weight with No movement and trying to hold it completely still is impossible. The scales will not lock and without that you have to bend down and read the scele or try and get someone to do it for you. So basically, unless you are a weght-lifting contortionist or you can hang you scales from a strong hook and lift up your suitcase these a useless by design. They do however seem to work much better at weights such as 10kg hand luggage. I also found the scales were inaccurate. They read 19.7 and read 22.1 at the airport, and 23.87 at home and 23.2 at the airport. These can only be used as a rough guide, but my old bathroom scales was a better idea. Sorry, these are rubbish for real life work. You are better off with some cheaper analogue scales. Please trust this review.
excellent March 3, 2010 Gill Morgan (leicester) with airlines becoming so strict with weight of luggage this is a very useful little weigh scale. Fairly accurate, I wouldn't rely on it 100% but it is definately a handy convenient guide. And considering the size and price I thought it was very good value for money and would recomend it.
Have had it for 1 year and it is a great scale! January 26, 2010 F. Malatesta Well built, precise, easy to use.
It even works for weighting the mail before if I post it.
Highly recommended.
