Product Description Get fast relief for aching muscles--even in hard to reach places--with the Thumper MiniPro2 percussion massager. It's the professional-strength massager with a lighter, easy to use design. Patented Thumper percussive action lets you get deep into sore muscles to release tightness caused by daily stress, exercise or long periods of inactivity. Two ergonomic soft rubber massage spheres pivot up and down a full 1/4", hugging your body's contours and producing deep penetrating massage waves to release tension and knots. Three computer-controlled speed settings (20, 30 or 40 pulses per second) allow you to customize the massage intensity--and there's no need to dig in' with the Thumper, it does all the work for you! The elongated, angled handle lets you use one or two hands as needed, and reaches all the way to those tough tight spots, like the middle of the back. And it weighs just 3 lbs--light enough to use one-handed without strain, and easily portable! Also features temperature safety controls, overload protection, extra-long 12' power cord and more. 6" w x 13" l x 5 1/2" h, 3 lbs. Just rest the massager lightly on your body and the weight of the massager, plus the force of the massage, does the rest. Two ergonomic soft rubber massage spheres pivot up and down a full 1/4", producing deep, penetrating massage waves. There's no need to lean or dig in with the massager--and in fact, doing so will diminish its effectiveness. 3 precision settings--and no kick-back' Electronically-regulated power settings allow you to customize the massage to 20, 30 or 40 pulses per second--so no matter how thick or thin the muscle group, or how sore and tender th

Great gift for my husband, but not for me! January 6, 2009 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This product was highly recommended to me by a friend. I purchased it for my husband who suffers from severe muscle tightness, with a slipped disk and 3+ hour commute in the car. He thinks that it is the "single greatest product ever created in the history of the Earth." (direct quote - keep in mind!) He uses it almost daily on his back, shoulders, and neck.
I've given it a try, and I find that the percussive massage is sometimes a little too intense for me, especially on the neck and shoulders. I find it to be a little heavy, slightly awkward, and the vibrations from holding it extend through my hand and arm.
I gave the product 5 stars because of the accolades from my husband and friend, but thought I should offer my opinion as an alternative viewpoint!
Very good massager but has a design problem January 3, 2009 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought two MiniPro2's few years ago; one for me and one for my parents. They worked very well but in both the switch failed after a while. I have just disassembled my massager and noticed that the plastic switch slider in the handle is linked with the underlying mechanical switch by a very thin piece of plastic, which broke off rendering the massager unusable. I give the massager four stars because it is a very good massager, but I wonder why the switch has such a lousy design in such an expensive massager. I will try to fix the switch.
Save your money December 3, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The product itself works fine, but the day after I received it, I was in Wal-Mart and saw a Home-Medics version of the SAME THING for $29.95 and decided to buy it to compare. I did not feel any difference between the 29.95 Walmart version and this $189 version. The Walmart thumper had more settings, AND heat option (if you like that). When I contacted Pro Therapy Supplies to return this unit - because you have to contact them to get a return authorization number(sigh) - they informed me that there would be a 10% restocking fee. So I figure I'm out about $30-$35 total just for ordering this product even though I didn't keep it. Take my advice, go to Wal-Mart and order the Home Medics percussion massager and save yourself a ton of money.
Fantastic Hand-Held Massage October 8, 2008 I have a lot of neck and shoulder pain from working in an office, and jogging three times a week. The Thumper has helped me alleviate those pains. It's very well-balanced; it practically sits on your shoulders, even from a sitting or standing position. Also, I've found that it doesn't give a lot of "kickback" to the handle like other massagers. It also penetrates into the muscle, instead of other massagers that just rub back and forth against the skin.
Highly Recommended.
Original vs New September 5, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The new Thumper Mini Pro 2 Personal Massager isn't as good as the original. The new one overheats and shuts down to quickly(30min) The original one went for an hour with no problem. It isn't as strong as the original.
