There's something pleasantly uncomplicated about a mechanical scale, with no buttons to push or batteries to replace. Oversized with a chrome-plated metal body, this classic kitchen model comes with a handsome 9-inch stainless-steel weighing bowl. To use, simply nestle the bowl on the scale's arms and turn the mechanism knob until the dial needle registers zero. Add and weigh food as needed. For best results wash the bowl by hand. I am thrilled with the look of my new scale.
Not only is the stainless steel body beautiful,
but the accuracy of the scale is perfect.....
I am leaving it out on my kitchen counter as a
decoration and scale. What an asset to my kitchen!!

I love this scale! Nice clear numbers easy to read. This scale wasn't my first choice but easily the better one. Recommend it to anyone who is serious about baking! Definate buy!

I bought this on the basis of reviews, looks, and a great half-price deal. All seemed to be well for a while, until I had occasion to measure some liquids in a cup. When it took much more than 16 liquid ounces of water (remembering the old high-school physics reminder, "a pint's a pound the world around"), I became suspicious. Some more semi-scientific inquiry (i.e, a couple of 500-gram bags of pasta from the store) made me realize that this scale consistently measures 25% light! No amount of adjustment and tweaking (I even tried "stretching" the coilspring by over-turning the adjuster) made things better. Sorry, but, aesthetics aside, scales need to do only one thing well, and that's to weight stuff accurately. 5% error is (somewhat) forgivable; 25% is a joke. Too bad I tossed the box, but I'm still going to look into a replacement or refund.

Great scale for the avid home chef who needs to weigh food items quickly while following or creating their own receipe. I know we live in the digital age, but I find with baking or cooking this scale is certainly accurate enough and holds large amounts without spilling.

This is a bargain - it is accurate, adjustable, chrome, and looks awesome. For the price, it's a steal. The bowl is a little lightweight, but can't complain at all for the price.
