I love this scale. It is *accurate*, easy to use, and easy to read. It's versatile and convenient.
~ I weigh postage to candy and baking ingredients.
~ Easy to switch from lbs. to grams, for comparison when adapting a foreign recipe to US standards.
~ It's lightweight so easy to move around and store.
~ There's an on/off button to save the battery.

I shopped for a couple months, checking and comparing top favorites (the $49 Oxo being #2). I am glad I finally chose this simple to use, inexpensive, accurate, Escali model.

I have seen the reviews for this scale, which is why I purchased it (not at Amazon). But, I had a much different experience. It was not accurate (I compared against an old scale I had), the batteries did not last long, and was just a pain to get it to work well. I finally junked it and bought a Salter at the store.
super January 7, 2009
scale was just what I wanted for my daughter for christmas. Her and Her husband process their own deer, and this makes weighing so much easier. She liked it because she could use Her own bowl to measure or weight with. I would purchase it again for a gift.
Great little scale January 7, 2009
This is a great little scale. It's small enough to leave out on my counter and not get in the way. It's very easy to use. The only thing you need to be aware of is if you are using a plate or wide bowl on the scale it can be difficult to read the screen. I would recommend this scale to anyone looking for a kitchen scale.
"Scale" down your health risk January 7, 2009
This scale is great. I can weigh the container, add the food, reweigh, subtract the container weight and know exactly what I am putting into my recipe. Very useful if you are trying to control your intake of fats, sugars, carbohydrates, protein or any food or nutrient - allows for portion control in grams or ounces. Great for accurate measuring when baking or cooking (eg: recipe calls for 4 ounces of pistachios. No bells and whistles (eg:no clock, no memory, no complicated screen. Just on/off and grams/ounces.)
If what you want is an accurate, easy to use scale, this is it.
